Pentane is commonly used as a chemical blowing agent in the production of foamed materials, particularly in the manufacture of polyurethane foams. A chemical blowing agent is a substance that is introduced into a material to produce gas, which leads to the formation of bubbles or pores in the material. In the case of polyurethane foams, pentane helps to create the cellular structure of the foam.
Realization Example:
- Pentane tanks are usually underground, horizontal, double-walled tank, made of S235 steel.
- Production according to EN 12285-1 norm, class C.
- Surface preparation by abrasive blasting to Sa 2.5
- For underground tank anticorrosive protection – PUR coating resistant to puncture 10 kV
- Working temperature: -20/+35°C
